A NOAA chart cropped around Gasparilla Island. The town of Boca Grande and its bayou are in the middle, Gasparilla Sound is to the north, and the Port Boca Grande light marks the island's southern tip at Boca Grande Pass, with the top of Cayo Costa below. A lighthouse was built on that tip in 1890.
